Euanthia 1 was a daughter of Philaretos 1 (St Philaretos) and Theosebo 1, sister of Ioannes 12 and Hypatia 1: Nicetas, Vita S. Philareti, p. 115, line 6 (ὄνομα τῇ δευτέρᾳ θυγατρί). She was the wife of Michael 2 and the mother of Anthis 1, Niketas 7, Petros 4, Philaretos 2, Kosmou 1 and Hypatia 2: Nicetas, Vita S. Philareti, p. 141, line 18 (ἡ δευτέρα Εὐανθία). The family was of Armenian descent; see Maria 2.
