Thomarichos 2 was an Italian noble (he is styled magnificus), sent with Georgios 221 and Comitas (Komitas 6) by pope Stephen III (II) (Stephanos 8) to the Frankish king Pepin 1, to inform him of the attacks on Rome and the neighbourhood by the Lombard king Aistulf 1 and to seek his help; they travelled with Pepin 1's envoy, Warnehar 1; they are mentioned in letters of pope Stephanos 8: Codex Carolinus, nos. 8 and 9 (pp. 497, 500) ("Thomaricum et Comitam magnificos eosdem nostros missos").
