Komitas 6 was an Italian noble (he is styled magnificus), sent with Georgios 221 and Thomaricus (Thomarichos 2) by pope Stephen III (II) (Stephanos 8) as envoys to the Frankish king Pepin 1 to inform him of the attacks on Rome and its neighbourhood by the Lombard king Aistulf 1 and to seek his help; they travelled with the Frankish envoy Warnehar 1; they are mentioned in letters of pope Stephen III (II) (Stephanos 8): Codex Carolinus, nos. 8, 9 (pp. 497, 500) ("Thomaricum et Comitam magnificos eosdem nostros missos").
