Petros 7 was tribunus; sent with Iulianus (Ioulianos 8) and Vitalianus (Bitalianos 4) by the people of Ravenna and Leo 114 as envoys to pope Hadrian I (Hadrianos 1) in 772 to inform him that the Lombard king Desiderius (Desiderios 3) had seized Faventia, the duchy of Ferraria and Comiaclum and was causing intolerable shortages in Ravenna, and to ask for his help in recovering those cities: Lib. Pont. 97. 6-7 ("suos missos, scilicet Iulianum, Petrum et Vitalianum, tribunos").
