Felix 17 was a tribunus; after the murder of the patriarch of Grado, Ioannes 516, by the duces Ioannes 515 and Maurikios 15 a conspiracy was formed against the duces by the new patriarch Fortunatus (Phortounatos 2) with Obelerios 1, Felix 17, Demetrios 38, Marinianos 2 and other senior Venetici: John the Deacon, Cron. Ven., p. 101. Later he was one of the Venetian hostages taken to Constantinople by Beatos 3 and Niketas 166: John the Deacon, Cron. Ven., p. 103.
