Tunno 1 was a dux of Eporedia (Ivrea, in Liguria); in 772, when Hadrian I (Hadrianos 1) became bishop of Rome, a three man embassy was sent to him by the Lombard king Desiderius (Desiderios 3), consisting of Theodikios 1 (dux of Spoletium), Tunno (dux of Eporedia) and Prandulus (Prandoulos 1) (vestiarius of Desiderius), seeking friendship; after pope Hadrian I expressed doubts about the reliability of Desiderius, the envoys swore on oath that he would soon restore to the Roman Church the rights which he had failed to restore under pope Stephen IV (III) (Stephanos 84); Hadrian accepted this and sent his own envoys to Desiderius: Lib. Pont. 97. 5-6 ("Tunnonem, ducem Eburegias").
