Petros 96 was bishop of Spoletium (Spoleto); in 853 he was one of four bishops (the others were Ioseph 14, Nottingus 1 and Petros 95) who were sent to attend the Council of Rome by the Frankish emperors Lothar (Lotharios 1) and Louis (Lodoïchos 1): Lib. Pont. 105. 91 ("Petrus Spoletinus").
