Kadolah 1 was a Frankish official in charge of the frontier with Dalmatia (he was the count of the March of Friuli; see Annales Regni Francorum s.a. 818) in 817, when he was involved in negotiations over frontier problems with the envoy of the emperor Leo V (Leo 15), Nikephoros 69; they first met at the court of Louis the Pious (Lodoïchos 2) at Aachen and then were sent with Albgar 1 to Dalmatia to decide matters on the spot: Annales Regni Francorum s.a. 817. Dux of Friuli, he fell ill and died in 819 and was succeeded by Baldrich 1: Annales Regni Francorum s.a. 819.
