Eustratios 14 was an archiatros in Constantinople (ἐν Βυζαντίδι: Theod. Stud., Ep. 264, p. 392, line 10), addressee of a letter from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) written between 815 and 818 (Theodoros 15 was in exile under Leo V (Leo 15), cf. Fatouros, p. 309*): Theod. Stud., Ep. 264, p. 392 (addressed Eu)strati/w| a)rxihtrw=|); he was married to a relative of Theodoros 15 (τῆς κυρίας τῆς ὁμοζύγου, τῆς καὶ ἀφ' αἵματος ἡμῶν: p. 392, lines 18-19); he is praised by Theodoros 15 for resisting the iconoclasts (τῆς αἱρέσεως ... ἀνώτερος: p. 392, line 6) and for avoiding social contact with the leader of the heretics (φυγὰς τὴν τοῦ ἀσεβάρχου συνεστίασιν; the ἀσεβάρχου was probably the patriarch Theodotos I (Theodotos 2): p. 392, line 23): he knew Hadrianos 19, allowed him to take refuge in his house and employed him to take letters between him and Theodoros 15. He is perhaps to be identified with the unnamed archiatros (τοῦ ὑπερτίμου κυρίου ἀρχιητροῦ: p. 839, line 3) mentioned in a letter written by Theodoros 15 between 821 and 826 (addressed to Thomais 1): Theod. Stud., Ep. 551, pp. 839-840.
