Hadrianos 19 was a monk; he delivered a number of letters from Nektarios 1 to Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) during the latter's exile at Metopa and Boneta, between 815 and 818 and is mentioned in the replies of Theodoros 15: Theod. Stud. Ep. 103, pp. 220-221 (a. 815); 108, p. 226 (winter 815/816); 117, p. 236 (a. 815); 153, pp. 273-274 (summer 816; Theodoros 15 drew comfort from his visit - πέπομφας τὸν καλὸν Ἀδριανὸν εἰς ἀνδρείαν καὶ παρηγορίαν μου: p. 273, lines 5-6); 224, p. 354 (late summer 816; Theodoros enjoyed his company - πάνυ ἀνεπάην ἐπὶ τῷ ἀδελφῷ Ἀδριανῷ, εἴ γε καὶ παραχωρηθείη μοι συνεῖναι: p. 354, lines 22-24); 376, pp. 506-508 (early 818); 405, pp. 561-562 (a. 818; Theodoros 15 expects Hadrianos 19 but he has not yet arrived) (all addressed to Nektarios 1).

Hadrianos 19 gave favourable news to Theodoros 15 about Eustratios 14, who had helped him and given him a home (ὑπὲρ τῆς τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ καὶ γραμματηφόρου ἐξ ἀρχῆς μέχρι τοῦ δεῦρο καλοποιϊας καὶ ξενοδοχίας: p. 392, lines 20-21): Theod. Stud. Ep. 264, p. 392 (written to Eustratios 14 in 815/818). He also gave Theodoros 15 a favourable report about Timotheos 3: Theod. Stud. Ep. 315, pp. 458-459 (written to Timotheos 3 in 817/ 818). In all the letters he is referred to as ὁ ἀδελφὸς Ἀδριανὸς or similar. In the letter to Eustratios 14 he is referred to as τοῦ πνευματικοῦ ἡμῶν υἱοῦ Ἀδριανοῦ, p. 392, line 4.
