Baanes 18 was a patrikios, praipositos and basilikos sakellarios; owner of a seal dateable to the middle or late ninth century: Laurent, Corpus II 752. The name and titles read: Βαάνῃ πατρικίῳ, πραιποσίτῳ καὶ βασιλικῷ σακελλαρίῳ. Cf. also Baanes 5, Baanes 6 and Baanes 7.
