Baanes 7 was a patrikios, praipositos and basilikos sakellarios of the basilika himatia; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos, Seals II 947. Obv.: +Βαα - νης πατ - ρ(ίκιος) πραιπ(όσιτος) (καὶ) β(ασιλικὸς) σακ - ελλ(άριος). Rev.: bird and tendrils; circular inscription reading +των β(ασιλικῶν) ηματηων. See also Baanes 18.
