Antonios 30 was hegoumenos of the monastery of Elaiobomoi; together with his oikonomos Basilios 119 he visited the hermit Ioannikios 2 on Mt Trichalix (on Mt Olympus in Bithynia, not far from Prousa) for prayers; Ioannikios 2 discussed with them the case of the metropolitan bishop of Nikaia, Inger 2: Sabas, Vita Ioannicii 30 (τόν ποτε ἡγούμενον τῶν Ἐλαιοβώμων Ἀντώνιον), Petrus, Vita Ioannicii 38 (ὅ ποτε ἡγούμενος τῶν Ἐλαιοβωμῶν Ἀντώνιος). The event is dated by Sabas 1 in 825 (shortly after the release from captivity of Eustathios 46); Petros 126 however dates it after the return of Ioannikios 2 from visiting the tomb of Theophanes 18 (Theophanes Confessor), which Sabas narrates afterwards.
