Anonymus 70 was bishop of Leontopolis, recorded among those present at the first session of the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council), on 24 September 787: Mansi XII 994 (... ἐπισκόπου Λεοντοπόλεως). His see is perhaps Leontopolis in Isauria, since the see of Leontopolis-Zalichen in Helenopontos was occupied by Ioannes 107 and represented at this session by Andronikos 2. He seems not to have attended any further sessions, but a representative may have been present at the second session, on 26 September 787; see Anonymus 71. It is of course possible that he did not attend the first session either and that the name of his representative has fallen out in the lacuna in Mansi XII 994.
