Ioannes 107 was bishop of Zalichos, also called Leontopolis, in Helenopontus; in 787 he was represented at the fourth session of the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council) (on 1 October 787) by the priest Andronikos 2; at this session his representative subscribed the statements read out from the Fathers in support of the veneration of icons: Mansi XIII 145 (ἐκ προσώπου Ἰωάννου ἐπισκόπου Ζαλίχων). The see was represented at the first session by Marianos 6 and at the second by Andronikos 2; the name of Ioannes 107 appears in neither place but he was presumably bishop at the time. At the seventh session there was a new bishop of Zalichos, Konstantinos 48. Perhaps Ioannes 107 had been too ill to attend in person and died during the Council.
