Anonyma 69 was a protospatharia and grandmother of Soterichos 9; the early death of Soterichos 9 in 806/807 brought grief not only to his parents (Staurakios 26 and Anonyma 68), but also to his grandfather the patrikios (Anonymus 575) and his grandmother the protospatharia (λύπη ... ἐπὶ τὸν προπάτορα κύριον πατρίκιον καὶ τὴν προμήτορα κυρίαν πρωτοσπαθαρέαν; Ep. 18, p. 50, lines 25-26): Theod. Stud., Ep. 18, pp. 49-51 (a letter of condolence to Staurakios 26). Both the grandfather and the grandmother were evidently still alive when Soterichos 9 died. The protospatharia presumably acquired her title from her husband, who was therefore not the patrikios; her husband seems therefore to have been dead in 806/807, since he is not mentioned by Theodore (Theodoros 15). It is impossible to decide if she was the mother of Staurakios 26 or of Anonyma 68.
