Of Armenian descent (supposedly from the Arsacids), Anonyma 29 was the daughter of Leo 110; she had one or more sisters. Perhaps in the reign of Constantine VI (Konstantinos 8) and Eirene 1, she married Maiktes 1 and bore a son (Anonymus 232); her son became the father of the emperor Basil I (Basilios 7): Theoph. Cont. V 3. If this pedigree is correct, she was the grandmother of Basil I (Basilios 7).
