Agatho 8 was Roman dux of Perusia; he led a force of Romans ("habentes in capite Agathonem Perusinorum ducem") against Bononia but was defeated and routed by the Lombards under Walcari 1, Peredeo 1 and Rotcari 1: Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang.VI 54.
