Zosimas 4 was a Stoudite monk; he is mentioned in a letter from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) to Gregorios 139 written between 821 and 826; he had accompanied Gregorios 139 to Constantinople for medical treatment (ἅμα τῷ ἀδελφῷ Ζωσιμᾷ) and had recovered after undergoing bloodletting (διὰ τῆς ἀφαιμάξεως): Theod. Stud., Ep. 489.
