Tzigatos 1 was an envoy of the Bulgars to Constantine V (Konstantinos 7) in 774; he and a boyar (βοϊλᾶν) (Anonymus 741) negotiated peace with the Romans: Theoph. AM 6265 (ἀπέστειλαν βοϊλᾶν καὶ Τζιγάτον, αἰτούμενοι εἰρήνην γενέσθαι). Presumably he was a Bulgar.
