Theognostos 16 was a basilikos protospatharios and trakteutes of Peloponnesos; owner of two seals dateable to the second half of the ninth century: DOSeals II 22.37a and b = Zacos and Veglery 2493b and c. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: (a) .... - .τω β' α' ς - παθ' κ' τρ. - τ' Πελοπ'; (b) εο. - .τω β' α'ς - αθ' κ' τρα - . Πελοπ - ... The name and titles read: [Θ]εο[γνώσ]τῳ β(ασιλικῷ) πρωτοσπαθ(αρίῳ) κ(αὶ) τρα[κ]τ(ευτῇ) Πελοπ(οννήσου).
