Theodotos 47 was a protospatharios, who is mentioned in a letter of Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) written between 824 and 826, to Pantaleon 13 (περὶ Θεοδότου τοῦ πρωτοσπαθαρίου: p. 780, line 9); Theodotos had travelled to the West with the unnamed oikonomos of the Great Church (i.e. Theodoros 328) on an embassy to the court of Louis the Pious (i.e. Lodo chos 2), because of whom he was now entangled in difficulties; Theodoros asked Pantaleon 13 to help him: Theod.
