An epigram for the tomb of Stephanos 138 was composed by Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite): Theod. Stud., Epigrammata 111. Of noble birth, he held a position in the imperial palace: lines 4-5 (ἐξ εὐγενοῦς μὲν αἵματος διαπρέπων, ἑλὼν δὲ ῥάβδον ἐξ ἀνακτόρων κλέους). He was aged twenty-five when he died: line 2 (εἰκοστόπεμπτον ἐν βίῳ ζήσας χρόνον). He was not married: line 7 (γυναῖκα μὴ γνούς). Cf. Speck, Jamben, pp. 289ff. Possibly identical with a kinsman of Theodoros 15, Stephanos 133.
