Sergios 110 was bishop of Tempsa; he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in fifth place: Conc. Lat., p. 2, line 13 (Σεργίου ἐπισκόπου Θεμψάνων), p. 3, line 13 ("Sergio Tempsanense episcopo")(the first session), cf. pp. 31, 111, 177 and 247 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). At the third session he proposed that the writings of the originator of the monothelete heresy, bishop Theodoros of Faran, be read out to the Council for inclusion in the Acts: Conc. Lat., p. 118, line 5 (Σέργιος ὁ θεοφιλέστατος ἐπίσκοπος Θεμψάνων) with p. 119, line 5 ("Sergius reverentissimus episcopus Tempsanensis"), p. 118, lines 19-20 with p. 119, line 19. Also at this session he proposed that the letter of Pseudo-Dionysios to Gaios be produced to verify if the interpretation placed on it by the monothelete Cyrus of Alexandria (Kyros 2) was correct: Conc. Lat., p. 140, line 1 (Σέργιος ὁ εὐλαβέστατος ἐπίσκοπος Θέμψης) with p. 141, line 1 ("Sergius reverentissimus episcopus Tempsanensis"). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 390, line 34 (Σέργιος ἐπίσκοπος Θεμψάνων), p. 391, line 34 ("Sergius episcopus sanctae Tempsanensis ecclesiae").
