Sergios 65 was magistros, ...(?), patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and logothetes of the genikon; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 405 = Laurent, Corpus II, no. 308. The name and titles read: Σεργίῳ μαγίστρῳ ... π[α]τρ[ικ]ίῳ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπ[α]θαρίῳ καὶ λογοθ[έ]τῃ τ[οῦ] γενικοῦ. The missing element in the title is almost certainly ἀνθυπάτῳ and this man is probably to be identified with Sergios 64 at a different stage of his career; see Laurent, Corpus II, no. 422 and Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 31. See also Sergios 57.

The same person was possibly the owner of the seal, Zacos and Veglery 2354 = Laurent, Corpus II, no. 307 = Laurent, "Sceaux" IV, p. 333, where the name and titles of the owner read: Σεργίῳ μαγίστρῳ καὶ γενικῷ λογοθέτῃ.
