Sabas 10 was a monk in the monastery of Agauroi, near Prousa; when Ioannikios 2 returned to the monastery after several years' absence, Sabas 10, with his fellow monks Eustratios 19 and Theophylaktos 105, were instructed by the hegoumenos Gregorios 48 to build a cell (κελλίον) for him on Mt Trichalix: Sabas, Vita Ioannicii 14.

He is probably identical with the monk Sabas (ἑνὶ τῶν ἀδελφῶν) who witnessed a miracle by Ioannikios 2 involving a tame goat, performed while the cell was in preparation: Petrus, Vita Ioannicii 13.

He may be identical with a Sabas named with Petros 128 and Antonios 32; they are described as three holy men and solitaries (τοὺς ἱεροὺς καὶ ἡσυχίους ἄνδρας) who, according to the Life of Ioannikios by Petros 126, accompanied the saint when after thirteen years near the monastery of Agauroi he withdrew into the quieter districts of the Thrakesioi (ἐπὶ τὰ μέρη τῶν Θρᾳκησίων); the three soon grew weary and returned, followed by Ioannikios 2 who settled in a cell on Mt Trichalix: Petrus, Vita Ioannicii 10-11. This incident is not recorded in the Life by Sabas 1 and is difficult to reconcile with it; Petros 126 records the construction of a cell by Eustratios 19 and Theophylaktos 105 both before and after the thirteen years at Agauroi and the sojourn in the Thrakesioi.
