Redemptus 3 was a deacon in Africa (probably at Carthage); he was sent by the bishop of Carthage, Victor 6, together with the bishop Mellosos 3 and the notarius Kriskentouros 1 with a letter and greetings to pope Theodore (Theodoros 49), with the request that they be allowed to return home to their churches before the onset of winter: Conc. Lat., p. 100, lines 12-17 (cf. line 14 Ρεδέμπτον τὸν διάκονον) with p. 101, lines 12-16. The date was between 646 and 649.
