Racipert 1 was a Lombard soldier, who gave the impression of being a formidable fighter ("qui bellator prae omnibus apparebat"); he accompanied the expedition led to Rome by Sergius (Sergios 53) and challenged Toto 1 but was killed by him: Lib. Pont. 96. 9. This occurred in summer 768.
