Primogenios 1 was a native of Regium; he was once a regionarius of the Church at Rome and later became patriarch of Grado, occupying the see for twenty years three months seven days; he is said to have transferred the bodies of the martyrs Hermachoras and Fortunatus from Aquileia to Grado; he was succeeded as patriarch by Maximos 4: Chron. Alt., p. 124 ("Primogenius patriarcha, qui fuit regionarius sancte Romane ecclesie, qui fuit nacione Regi civitatis").
