Platon 22 was a hesychast monk, neighbour and colleague of Petros 126; the latter records a story involving Platon 22 in his Life of St Ioannikios (Ioannikios 2); Platon 22 and Petros 126 once visited Ioannikios 2 and during the conversation Platon 22 asked if they might visit him again the following year; Ioannikios 2 then foretold that Platon 22 would never see him alive again; the following year Platon 22 and Petros 126 visited another monk, Petros 127, who, they found, planned also to visit Ioannikios 2; they asked if they might accompany him, but there was a shortage of mules and when eventually they set off, accompanied also by Ioannes 441, Platon 22 had to remain behind; however, Ioannikios 2 gave Petros 126 gifts (εὐλογίαι) to take to Platon 22: Petrus, Vita Ioannicii 68 (τὸν σὺν ἐμοὶ ἐφησυχάζοντα ἀδελφὸν Πλάτωνα), cf. Sabas, Vita Ioannicii 43 (σὺν πλησιοχώρῳ αὐτοῦ ἡσυχαστῇ Πλάτωνι καλουμένῳ; the story is the same, but Sabas 1 says that they used to visit Ioannikios 2 regularly). Petros 126 was probably a monk in the monastery of the Agauroi (see Petros 126) and Platon 22 presumably was either a fellow monk or a monk and hermit living close by.
