Platon 8 was the bishop of Magydos in Pamphylia; in 692 he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 168, no. 210 (= Mansi XI 1004) (Πλάτων ἐλάχιστος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Μαγυδέων πόλεως τῆς Παμφύλων ἐπαρχίας). Presumably identical with Platon 5.
