Philon 2 a Stoudite monk; addressee, jointly with Titos 2, of two letters written by Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) in 816; they belonged to the group of monks associated with Thaddaios 1, and were imprisoned together during the iconoclast persecution under Leo V (Leo 15): Theod. Stud., Ep. 129, pp. 246-247; 241, p. 374 (both addressed Τίτῳ καὶ Φίλωνι τέκνοις). In 816/817 they had both deserted the iconophile cause: Theod. Stud., Ep. 190, pp. 314-315.
