Pardos 7 was hegoumenos ("egumenum") of the monastery of St Saba (at Rome); in c. 773 he and the defensor Anastasius (Anastasios 37) were sent by pope Hadrian I (Hadrianos 1) as envoys to the Lombard king Desiderius (Desiderios 3) to ask for the restoration of the cities seized by the Lombards; their mission was a failure: Lib. Pont. 97. 21 ("suos missos ... scilicet Pardum, religiosum egumenum monasterii beati Sabae, et Anastasium, primum defensorum").
