Pachomios 1 was an attendant of St Ioannikios (Ioannikios 2), whom he accompanied back to the monastery of Antidios (on Mt Olympos) after he met the holy man, Georgios 220, on Mt Alsos: Sabas, Vita Ioannicii 14 (σὺν ὑπουργῷ Παχωμίῳ). The date is uncertain but was some time in the early years of the ninth century.
