Obelliebatos 1 was a cleric who was consecrated as the first bishop of Olivolo when the see was created by Mauricius (Maurikios 10) in his eleventh year as dux of Venetia ("undecimo sui ducatus anno apud Olivolensem insulam apostolica auctoritate novum episcopatum fore decrevit, in quo quendam clericum, Obelliebatum nomine, episcopum ordinavit"); he died after twenty-three years as bishop ("mortuo vero Obeliebato episcopo, qui Olivolensem episcopatum rexerat annis XX et III") and was succeeded by Christophoros 57: John the Deacon, Cron. Ven., p. 99. Presumably his name was Willibad, or similar.
