Myron 2 was father-in-law of Petronas 5; he held office under the emperor Theophilos (Theophilos 5) as logothetes of the dromos (Μύρωνι ... λογοθέτῃ τε ὄντι τοῦ δρόμου καὶ πενθερῷ τοῦ Πετρῶνα or similar); he quarrelled with Manuel 1 and spread rumours (cf. Basilios 12) that he was plotting against the emperor, which led to Manuel taking refuge among the Arabs: Leo Gramm. 218, Georg. Mon. Cont. 796, Ps.-Symeon 632.
