Lombard comes of Capua, in 663 Mitola 1 harassed the army of the emperor Constans (Konstans 1) as it withdrew from Beneventum to Naples, at a place later known as Pugna, near the river Calor: Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. V 9 ("cuius tamen exercitum Mitola Capuanus comes iuxta fluenta Caloris fluminis in loco qui usque hodie Pugna dicitur vehementer adtrivit"). He was perhaps the successor of Trasimund 2 as comes of Capua.
