Michael 29 was basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Thrace; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals I 71.31 = Zacos and Veglery 2197. Nesbitt and Oikonomides (DOSeals, ad loc.) note that the last words could be read as τ(ῶν) Θρᾳκ(ησίων) but this is less likely. For a similar seal belonging to a Michael patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Thrace, see Michael 48 (Schlumberger, Sig., 730).
