Father of Ioannes 338, Meze 1 is named on two seals owned by his son which are dateable to the late seventh or early eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 363 and 388. See Ioannes 338 for the texts. It is not certain if the titles recorded on the two seals, patrikios and apo hypaton, were held by the father or the son.
