Wife of Theophilos 23; Melissene 1 was apparently a member of the Melissenos family (her husband is described as a relation by marriage of the Melissenos family); several of their children died in infancy, until they took a baby daughter (Anonyma 40) to Nikolaos 26 to be blessed: Vita Nic. Stud. 916D-917B.
