Meligalas 2 was basilikos spatharios and chartoularios of the genikon logothesion; owner of a seal dateable to the mid-ninth century: Laurent, Corpus II 364. The name and titles read: Μελ(ι)γαλᾷ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ χαρτουλαρίῳ τοῦ γενικο͂ λογοθεσίου. See Meligalas 1, with whom he may be identical; if so, this seal is dateable after he was hypatos but before he became spatharokandidatos.
