Leo 225 was basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Chaldia; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2137A. The name and titles read: Λέοντι βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Χαλδίας. The same person possibly owned a similar seal at an earlier stage of his career, when he was basilikos spatharios and kommerkiarios of Chaldia: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 290, no. 5. Obv.: cross, with the legend Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλωιͅ. Rev.: Λεοντ' β' σπαθ' και κουμερκ' Χαλδ'. The name and titles read: Λέοντι βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ κουμερκιαρίῳ Χαλδίας.
