Leo 137 was basilikos spatharios and strategos of the Boukellarioi; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2145A. The name and titles read: Λέοντι βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Βουκελλαρίων. A similar seal which may have belonged to the same person is published in Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 162a, where the name and title are read: Λέοντι βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Βουτελαρίων (sic). The name on this seal should however be read as Georgios, according to Seibt, Bleisiegel I, p. 321, cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 100), and see Georgios 96 and Georgios 166.
