Leo 66 was hypatos, protonotarios and kommerkiarios of the West; owner of two seals dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals I 1.27. Obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Λέοντι ὑπάτ(ῳ), (πρωτο)νοτ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) κομερκ(ιαρίῳ) τῆς Δύσε(ως). On the difficulties posed by this man's titles, see note on DOSeals I 1.27. This man is perhaps to be identified with Leo 94; this would resolve some of the problems noted by Nesbitt and Oikonomides.
