Leo 94 was an hypatos and protonotarios of Sicilia; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 215, n. 2 from p. 214, no. 9 (from Salinas, "Sigilli diplomatici"). The text as given by Schlumberger reads: Θεοτόκε βοήθει (in cruciform monogram) τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Λέοντι ὑπάτῳ (καὶ) (πρωτο)νοταρ(ίῳ) Σικελ(ίας). Cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 123. The same person perhaps owned another seal, Borsari, no. 17. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Λεον - [τ]ι υπατω - α' νοταρ' - Σικελ'.
