After the emperor Constantine VI (Konstantinos 8) married Maria 2 of Amnia (in 788), Konstantinakios 1 married her younger sister Myranthia 1; he was a patrikios and was young and handsome: Nicetas, Vita Philareti, p. 143, line 19 (εἷς τῶν μεγιστάνων αὐτοῦ πατρίκιος, ὄνομα Κωνσταντινάκιος, ὡραῖος καὶ αὐτὸς καὶ καλὸς τῷ εἴδει σφόδρα).
