Georgios 146 was basilikos spatharios and strategos of Hellas; owner of a seal dateable to the seventh or eighth century, probably the eighth: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 5, 41. The name and titles read: [Γ]εωργ[ι]ῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ [καὶ σ]τρατηγῷ Ἑλλάδος. Konstantopoulos assigns it to the seventh or eighth century, but Seibt dates it to the eighth; see Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 94. See also Georgios 231.
