Georgios 37 was bishop of Bizye in Thrace; in 692 he attended the Quinisext Council at Constantinople, where he signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 150, no. 39 (= Mansi XI 992) This man is probably the same as Georgios 18. The text in Mansi XI 992 reads: The Latin version printed in Mansi XI 991 calls him "episcopus Uzusae Thracum provinciae". The see of Uzusa is otherwise unrecorded. As no bishop of Bizye is recorded in the list of subscribers to the Quinisext canons, there is probably a textual error and the reading of Ohme is correct.
