Gaidoald 1 was a Lombard dux of Brixia; he had a daughter, Ranigunda 1, who married the Lombard dux of Beneventum, Romoald 2: Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. VI 50 ("Ranigundam, filiam Gaidualdi Brexiani ducis").
