Fidentius 1 was bishop of castrum Iuliense (Iulia Carnica); with the consent of the Lombard duces of Forum Iulii he transferred his see to Forum Iulii and lived there; his successor was Amator 2 (who lived in the reign of king Liutprand 1): Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. VI 51.
